I do not think of myself as a political person, I do not follow all the policies and promises the government makes as I know they will soon be broken. However saying this, I must say how pleasantly surprised I was today at the budget.
Many of things that I wished for in my last post have been proposed to be tackled, such as the ridiculous costs of residential care, causing elderly people who have worked their entire lives to have to sell their houses, in order to get the end of life care that they deserve.
As glad as I am that this was on the Budget I am afraid that this will not happen, and will be yet another broken promise from another broken government. But we shall see.
